How to write a dispute to Credit Bureaus?

Ashley asked:

I am 20 years old, and pulled my credit report about 3 months ago. I found three collection accounts on my credit report.

I first disputed the accounts with the credit bureaus, who all verified the accounts. These accounts are not mine, I know they are not mine, for a business in a state I have never been to.

My next step was to send the collection agencies a certified letter requesting validation of debt, that was over 2 months ago, no response from any of them.

I was doing research on Y/A and found out that now I should dispute the accounts with the credit bureaus again and send certified mail with copies of validate letters, that they failed to answer OR I should contact the credit bureaus for something called Method of Validation.

My question is can anyone help me with a sample letter or tell me how to word a letter to the credit bureaus saying they should delete the accounts because the collectors did not validate. I am not good at writing letters, I feel inadequate.

Also should I list all three accounts on one letter to each bureau?

WOW! First of all i’m impressed with you getting on top of your credit at such a young age. AWSOME! okaythen. YEEESSSS! Send the validaltion letters to the credit bureaus ‘certified mail’, that way you have a paper trail. keep it simple, something like this:

    Account #XXXX
    Disaster Bank
    P.O.Blah
    ciy,state,zip

    Experian,

this company has failed to respond to my request to verify this account is accurate and is in violation of the “Fair Debt Collection Practices Act”. Either Provied me the contract i signed or the voice recording where i authorized billing me for this account, or have it removed immediatley.

Okay? And yes you can submit this all in one letter. even place the same dispute for all three accounts on the same page.

You sent it certified, send a letter telling them about the creditor whom did not respond, and threaten the creditor and bureaus if they do not remove the negative item. Send a copy of the letter sent to the creditor, and a copy front and back of the certified receipt card. If they don’t removal seek legal action, because this case is worth $1,000 at least in small claims court.

Hope this could be of great Service!
